Partial document with two signatures of William Williams, Signer of Declaration of Independence, dated Sept. 14, 1781. About 2 x 8 inches, overall good condition with uneven edges from being clipped. Signers have become very collectible.

Wartime letter by Rev War Officer Return Jonathan Meigs who was famous for his brilliant Sag Harbor Raid, NY on May 23, 1777, for which Congress voted him one of their "elegant swords". He became Lt. in Conn. Regt. in 1772 and two years later was promoted to Capt. He led his company to the Boston lines after the action at Lexington and Concord, was commissioned Major and later became Lt. Colonel of Sherburne's Regt. ALS, May, 1778 regarding shipment of white cloth for his brigade. Mentions General Parsons. Nice example of desirable figure in Revolutionary War. Difficult to find war dated letters from important figures at a reasonable price. About 8 x 8 inches, good condition with folds from mailing and uneven edge at bottom.

Very attractive set of 2 documents for Henry Disbron. First document is partly printed from Hartford, CT, October 24, 1782 and is a receipt for pay of Seven Pounds and "6/3". Second document reads "Henry Disbron Soldier in the 7th Regt having served the term of time for which he inlisted (sic) with Reputation is hereby discharged the Army of the United States of America. Springfield, 2nd April 1789". Signed by Colonel Josiah Starr as Commandant for the Brigade. Starr was at Ft Ticonderoga and Valley Forge and fought at Monmouth. Desirable set in good condition. First item is about 7 by 7 inches. Second item is about 8 by 3 inches.

A document written by a Col. Nathaniel Terry, ordering Revolutionary troops. To the Officers of Military Company Hartford (taken from address side). The order reads " I have this Day Recd (received) Orders from Genl Newsby to order the Soldiers to be at Hartford Court House next Wednesday where there will be Proper officers to receive them. If your three months men (enlistment term reference) & those fot eh State Regts. Are not all gone you are Directed to see that they are delivered at said time & Place or sooner if you can and make a Particular Return to me of the men above mentioned within six days from this date. If your men Detached to serve at Newgate are not all gone you must get them on forthwith...I have Express orders to report every Capt. That Don't use his Utmost Endeavor to Comply with the above orders. Given at enfield August 11th, 1781" Rare to find such orders surviving. About 8 x 5 inches. Overall in good condition.

Benjamin Rush Autograph Document Signed. Rush was a Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania and a prominent physician of the time. This document is written in Rush's hand and is a physical examination report that condemns his circumstances, stating that the man being held in confinement will die if not removed. Very rare to find a doctor's report by Rush. About 7 x 8 inches in very good condition.
